Clean & Clear Morning Burst Launch

Hello everyone!

I am going to blog about an event that I attended on the 31st January, held by Clean & Clear and PLATINUM Media & Communications. The event started at 9.00 a.m. in the morning at The Ivy Pool Lounge in Wynyard, so I was pretty excited about it! I decided to take my bestie Katherine with me, to encourage her to start a beauty blog because she's been wanting to make one but always hesitant to take the first step. Finally she created her very own beauty blog:

Please support her by visiting her blog here: http://www.mybeautychord.blogspot.com ! She is super pretty and mad awesome. :)

Continuing to the event, so I met her at Wynyard station at about 8.45 am (early morning!) - and we walked there together. When we arrived to the venue, we were pretty amazed! The decorations were super pretty! Everything were so colourful -

Loving the colour schemes.. and look at those pool balls!
Table centrepieces made from the line's main ingredients
The tables are filled with Clean & Clear Morning Burst products
Goodie bags are colour coordinated - just like the line!
As soon as we arrived to the venue, the super friendly PRs from Platinum greeted us and made us feel comfortable :) I was pretty nervous back then hehe. After that we went to the bar and grab some tea & coffee - because I haven't eaten anything since morning! Tasty canapés were also being served so we had our 'breakfast' there! After that, we met Alisha - who is the brand manager of Clean & Clear, we talked briefly about beauty blogging and she is really sweet!

Oh, and a little while before the main event started - I recognised some familiar faces from ABBW 2011, which are Tram and Alice! So we sit on the same table :) Lucky us!

Alice, Tram, & Katherine
So it's time for the main event - there are three special guests: Makeup Artist Yolanda Lukowski, R&D Expert Sharon Dowling, and the beautiful Carissa Walford - model and Channel [V] host. Alisha was introducing their new range for Clean & Clear Morning Burst: Shine Control and Skin Brightening line which consists of facial cleanser and scrub.

Clean & Clear Morning Burst products are designed to suit younger audience and their busy lifestyle, who needs the 'push' to make them feel invigorated in the morning and feeling fresh daily. According to the website, it wakes you up with a fresh citrus scent while soft BURSTING BEADS® burst with energy and vitamins, leaving your skin feeling clean, energized and ready to face the day.

My initial review: I have oily skin especially in summer, so I tried the Shine Control Facial Cleanser and Facial Scrub. My skin feel super fresh and I genuinely felt awaken (before I was pretty sleepy and could not open my eyes hehe)! It felt minty...? And the citrus smell really does awaken your senses :) As for the oil control - it helped a tad bit but maybe it's because I use my Hourglass primer? I don't know. Well the scrub is very gentle and it's suitable for everyday use. These products are suitable for people who feel very sleepy and dead in the morning :) That's why it's called Morning Burst! Such a fitting name!

It's Summer! Suntanning on Bronte Beach!

Hello guys!

How is it going :)
I have decided, I will update this blog more often now - with more photo posts instead of just beauty reviews - so my blog won't look as dead. Hehehe.

So last weekend Janice (Chaigyaru) and me went to Bronte Beach to catch up after almost 2 months not meeting her (missed her!) and most importantly - suntanning! The weather hasn't been all that great this summer in Sydney - so when we knew that Sunday will be sunny we were sooo happy!

It was super fun!
We suntanned for about 1.30 hours or 2 hours even and just enjoy the sun! (35 C degree that day!)
Here are some pictures of us camwhoring the whole day...

After suntanning, we went to one of the cafes near by the beach, and have a nice lunch!

I have been super fair all my life, and I asked Janice for spray tan recommendation.
She recommended me 'Sugarbaby' because the shade is perfect (not too dark) and it's not expensive too!
So we went and bought it - I have tried it and LOVE IT!
(will post a detailed review soon) it looks so natural and no streaks!

After that we went back to my apartment because we previously discussed that we're going to Melbourne together for the easter break, so we finally went and bought the ticket! :)
Can't wait!

I used to hate beach and summer, but now I have learnt to love it more :)
See you guys soon x

Winter in Korea! [ Haul & Pictures ] +SKIN79 BB Cream & Chanel Perfection Lumiere Review

Hello everyone!
Hope you had a really nice holiday!

Can't believe it's 2012 now, have you guys made your New Year's Resolutions? Or maybe have completed any? I know I haven't made mine :/ Guess I should be working on that.

As you guys might know, I went to Korea for the holidays - with my family.
It was super fun - as it was my first visit there, one thing that stands out for me the most : a lot of pretty girls! Hahaha. One day I shall go there to do some rhinoplasty XP Not only that but most of them have gorgeous porcelain skin - envy! I wonder if it's the skincare? Makeup? or is it just the weather?

Here are some of the pictures of my trip in Korea. :)

So we went to Jeju Island, skiing at High1 Resort, Mt.Sorak, and Seoul. Didn't have much time to shop around so didn't buy any clothes.. It's summer in Sydney and they only sell heavy duty winter clothes sadly :( I know I know I can wear them in winter later but I had no desire whatsoever to shop for winter clothes at that moment.

But! I bought heaps of masks & miscellaneous stuff from Skinfood, Innisfree, Etude, etc I don't even remember! I don't really know if they're any good but they were super cheap so I just kept on buying them :)

Oh of course I bought some BB Creams! The one that particularly stands out for me is the SKIN79 BB Cream - Triple Function.

SKIN79 Super BB Cream

Review: So I have been using this one a lot - and I must say I really like it. The colour is overwhelmingly fair ( as most BB Creams are) but after 1 minute it will settle to your skin colour magically. The coverage is medium to full - so it's perfect for those who think tinted moisturiser is too sheer but also at the same time don't want to wear foundation. The smell is not too overwhelming but it might be different for other people as I have a high tolerance for fragranced makeup/skincare. It doesn't settle into fine lines and you need to put powder after as it doesn't really help with oil control. I give this 3.5/5!

You just need a tiny little bit for your whole face:

After I spread it on my hands :

That's all for my holiday in Korea. Sorry I just kept it short xP
I have tons and tons of pictures but it would be too much hahaha :)

Chanel Perfection Lumiere
Anyways unfortunately I left my foundation in Indonesia (where I was before I went to Korea) - and I needed to buy a new one before I went clubbing the other day. I decided to buy the Chanel Perfection Lumiere (20 BEIGE) - as the SA recommended that one for me because I have combination oily skin but does not want anything too matte.

Review: My first Chanel foundation and I love it! I won't use this for everyday foundation but I am happy to repurchase if I ever run out. It's not too matte but not too dewy - it's perfect! The oil control is really great since I wore it all night (with Chanel powder) without retouching! I use Hourglass primer with it (A GREAT PRIMER - MUST BUY) and used MAC 187 stippling brush. I give this.. 4/5 star! :D

Here are some pictures of me wearing this foundation (after sweats for 3 hours - 4 hours ish) without retouching! (sorry for bad quality pics - taken directly from Facebook! LOL) Sorry I was already hammered so my eyes were bloodshot. XP

Me and bestie Katherine! She wants to make a beauty blog and I'm convincing her to do it! She's gorgeous isn't she hehe~
Phew that was a long post!
Well, See you guys next time!

Merry Christmas 2011 & Happy Holidays!

Hello guys,
Sorry that I'm a tad late, been enjoying my holiday... How about you guys?

Merry Christmas 2011!
Have a joyous one & God Bless! xoxo

I can't wait till Wednesday because I'm going to.... Korea!
How exciting! Going to shop a lot! (and of course sightseeing hehe) I have never been to Korea, so I'm quite excited... that was until I knew that it's SUPER cold there now... It reaches -10 C degree! I hope I won't freeze to death :( I will be going with my family - and we haven't been on a trip together for a long time since I'm always away. I should get some Korean cosmetics when I'm there! :)

Back to Christmas...
I don't really celebrate Christmas since I'm Buddhist - but still I love dressing up and have nice dinner on Christmas.. So I had a Christmas Dinner at Assiette, Sydney. It was one week before Christmas actually, but I still consider it Christmas Dinner~ Hehehe.

So here's what I was wearing that day!

Dress: SATCH / Bag: Louis Vuitton / Shoes: Christian Louboutin

A Stila eyeshadow & blush palette than my sister and her boyfriend gave to me. Look at all the colours! Too exciting!

Close up shot of the palette!

That's all for now ladies, HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY!
Off to Korea x
